Frequently
asked questions
Insurance, ages, space, weather and everything else organisers and parents ask us before they book.
Everything organisers and parents ask
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry £2 million public liability insurance, and a full written risk assessment is carried out and reviewed for every single event we attend. Organisers, venues and local authorities can have copies of both on request — just ask when you enquire and we'll send them over with your quote.
Is it safe?
Yes. Nobody picks up a replica until they've had a safety briefing. Eye protection is provided and is mandatory inside the range, the whole lane is enclosed in netting so nothing leaves the range, and there is a trained marshal with every participant for the whole of their turn.
What age do you have to be?
Six and up. Under-16s need a parent or guardian on site, and everyone follows the same safety rules regardless of age. We regularly run mixed sessions where a six-year-old and their grandad are shooting back to back — that's rather the point of it.
How much space do you need?
A flat, open pitch of at least 10m x 4m. That takes the 9m x 3m enclosed range itself, plus a safe spectator zone and room for a marshal to work behind the firing line. We also need somewhere within reach to park the support vehicle. Grass, hardstanding or indoors all work.
How many people can shoot at once?
One to three at a time, depending on the package. Turns are short and fast, so throughput is high — at a busy show we'll put several hundred people through the range across a day.
Do we need to bring anything?
No. Bring yourselves. We supply the replicas, the biodegradable BBs, eye protection, targets, netting, barriers, signage and trained marshals. Normal clothes are fine — there's no kit to buy and nothing to book in advance.
What happens if it rains?
The range is a fully enclosed, weather-resistant 9m x 3m structure, so we run through light rain and moderate wind without any trouble. In genuinely dangerous weather — high winds especially — we'll talk to you about rescheduling rather than risk it.
What do you shoot?
Electric and gas replica rifles, SMGs, pistols and revolvers, firing 6mm biodegradable BBs at low, safe velocities. No live ammunition of any kind is involved, and the BBs break down naturally so we're not leaving plastic in anyone's field.
How far do you travel?
We're based in Hertfordshire and cover Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Surrey, Sussex, London and the Home Counties as standard. For festivals, military shows and multi-day bookings we travel nationwide — we've worked shows from Kent to the Midlands. Tell us your postcode and we'll tell you straight away whether there's a travel charge.
How do we book?
Call 07916 168977 or send the enquiry form with your date, postcode and rough numbers. We'll come back with a firm price and confirm availability. Popular summer Saturdays go early, so if you have a date in mind it's worth asking sooner rather than later.
Still not sure about something? Call 07916 168977 or send us a question — we'd rather answer it now than on the day.
