Strategic Airsoft Squad has been taking a fully enclosed airsoft range to fields, car parks and back gardens across the country for 3 years.
A players' idea, not a franchise
S.A.S. started because we play airsoft and kept noticing the same thing: the sport is brilliant, and almost nobody outside it ever gets to try it. Sites are out of the way, you need kit, you need a full day, and you need to know somebody who already plays.
So we built the opposite. A complete 9m × 3m range that fits in a van, sets up on a pitch in under an hour, and lets somebody who has never held a replica have a proper go in about two minutes — at a festival, in a car park, in their own back garden.
Three years on it's been to some of the biggest military and heritage shows in the country, plenty of corporate days, and a great many birthdays.
Three things we don't compromise on
Safety, visibly
£2 million public liability and a written risk assessment for every event. A briefing before anyone touches anything, mandatory eye protection, fully enclosed netting, and a trained marshal alongside every single participant.
Everyone gets a go
Six years old or sixty. Never held one, or served twenty years. The whole design of the range — short turns, a marshal per shooter, no kit required — exists so that nobody is excluded and nobody is intimidated.
Leave the field as we found it
Biodegradable BBs only, no exceptions. We're guests on other people's land every weekend of the summer, and we'd like to keep being invited back.
Hertfordshire-based, on the road most weekends
We cover Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Surrey, Sussex, London and the Home Counties as standard, and travel nationwide for festivals, military shows and multi-day bookings. Shows we've worked include Military Odyssey, History in Action, Capel and Vanlife Eats, alongside corporate days and private functions.
